Craft Wire for Creative Fun
When I first received a package of Twisteezwire©, I thought it was a craft product just for kids. Then I started working with it and, to be honest, it’s a lot of fun to work with! First I read the directions and ideas that came with the wire. Then I searched around for jewelry items in my collection that I thought would work well with the wire and found a colorful round bead, two rolled paper beads (that I rolled) and a brass-plated toggle clasp.

The first task was to widen the hole in the round bead to accommodate the wire. I used my trusty craft drill and carefully widened to hole. I then chose a pink strand of Twisteezwire© to complement the bead colors. I threaded my round bead on the wire and centered it. I then twisted the wire on either side around a pen creating three loops. I then threaded two rolled paper beads on the wire and rolled loops next to those. Finally I added the toggle clasp pieces using my jewelry pliers and cutter and I had my finished piece.

I must admit, my creation is not nearly as creative and complex as the samples sent to me for this review. But for my first try, I’m pleased. And as you might be thinking, the possibilities are endless. Examples on the Twisteezwire© website include Ornaments and Decorations, Wire Figures, Holiday Ideas, Macrame with Twisteezwire©, Combine Twisteezwire© with recycled materials and Twisteezwire© Murals. You’ll also find tutorials, videos and classroom projects.
My advice is to click on this link and have fun learning more about Twisteezwire©. You can order various sets on the site or use the list of vendors to find a retailer to purchase from.
