The Wizarding World™ of Harry Potter™ comes to the world of crochet with the Harry Potter Crochet Kit by Lucy Collin. In this adorable kit you’ll find a 76-page book with step-by-step instructions and full-color photos to create 12 amigurumi* dolls, including Harry, Hermione, Ron, Dobby, Hagrid, Dumbledore, Snape, Hedwig, Voldemort, McGonagall, Ginny, the Sorting Hat, Norbert the Dragon, and other fan favorites. You’ll also learn how to create Hogwart’s signature robes, scarves and magic wands…even Quidditch broomsticks!

You will find all of the materials you need to make Harry and Dobby (and his sock!) Yarn, stuffing, needle and thread, safety eye beads, and a crochet hook shaped like Harry’s wand.

Collin introduces each doll project with charming character descriptions:
“Harry found his true home when he went to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.”
“…Dumbledore devoted his life to protecting the students under his care.”

Full disclosure…I have never attempted crochet. That being said, I find this kit’s instructions very easy to follow. The crochet stitch and techniques are well done, as are the step-by-step doll creation instructions.

The Harry Potter Crochet Kit is a Thunder Bay Press product, produced in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products. The kit is available online and in brick and mortar retail stores and has a MSRP of $24.99US and $33.99CAD.
* Amigurumi is a craft that originated in Japan that uses crochet (or knit) stitches to create cute, small, stuffed items such as animals and other characters.
