As you might guess this is a book full of crafts Grumpy Cat doesn’t like. That, of course, is the joke as Grumpy Cat doesn’t like much of anything. For instance, Grumpy Cat doesn’t like bows, dice, doorknob hangers or flower arrangements. So the reader gets to cut out and assemble all of these, and many more, with images of Grumpy Cat festooned on each and every one of them.
Grumpy Cat doesn’t like hearts so Grumpy Cat’s Miserable Papercraft Book has hearts many available to cut out with “ways to use the stupid hearts.” I especially enjoyed that Grumpy Cat doesn’t like pinwheels but he can’t say “something depreciating” because the pinwheel’s “spinning is so hypnotizing.” There’s even a bookmark cut-out with grumpy’s admonition – “Wow. You must be super forgetful. I’m not surprised.” Ouch!
Grumpy Cat’s Miserable Papercraft Book, written by Jimi Bonogofsky-Gronseth, is very colorful, well laid out and consistently humorous. The book is targeted at kids and expertly caters to a young sense of sarcasm. I think Grumpy Cat’s Miserable Papercraft Book would make an excellent gift for anyone, child or adult, who enjoys Grumpy’s hilarious sense of sarcasm.
Grumpy Cat’s Miserable Papercraft Book is a publication of Dover Publications and retails for $14.95.
