It’s easy to create a faux weathered driftwood effect and turn a worn out thrift store frame into a beachy keen decorative frame for your home with just 3 colors of chalky finish paint and a few minutes.   
 
Materials: 
  • Frame 
  • DecoArt® Americana® Decor™ Chalky Finish Paint (www.decoart.com)
    • Yesteryear
    • Relic
    • Everlasting  
  • Paintbrushes
 
Instructions:
  1. Paint entire frame with Yesteryear (light grey) chalky finish paint. Let dry.

Faux Driftwood HOW 1

  1. Lightly dry brush painted frame with Relic (charcoal grey) chalky finish paint.  Let dry.

Faux Driftwood HOW 2

  1. Lightly dry brush over first two colors of paint with Everlasting (white) chalky finish paint.  Let dry.

That’s it!  Quick & easy and it really mimics the look of worn, weathered beach wood or driftwood.
