This book is perfectly named! Chapter after chapter of unique, interesting techniques that any user can re-create a home by following the clear, instructions, complete with multiple color screen shots and photos of each step along the way to the finished project. The techniques are fun, unexpected, vibrant, and clever. I especially enjoyed the chapter on Effects with Light – with great examples of photos taken from “good” to “WOW!” with the aid of Photoshop Elements. My two young sons were intrigued by the chapter on Distortion Effects and couldn’t wait for me to create a version of their own “funny face.” And while I may not be ready to actually build a replica of my bathroom floor in the basement to create a great montage of my boys in an overflowing bathtub without destroying the bathroom itself, I am anxious to try many of the other techniques explained on my own photos!
