Paper casting with rubber stamps is a simple way to create a dimensional accent with the look of hand made paper for a card or scrapbook page. The supplies are basic, and the options are only limited to your stash of rubber stamps - or the closest craft store that sells rubber stamps.....
Instructions:
1.
Mix 1/4 cup water with 1 tablespoon white craft glue.
2. Tear 8 pieces of white tissue paper large enough to cover stamp.
3. Place first 2 layers of tissue over stamp, quickly dip stencil brush into glue/water mixture (be careful not to saturate brush - dab into paper towels to remove any excess).
4. Being careful not to tear tissue, gently push wet brush over tissue paper on surface of stamp.

5. Repeat with next to layers, then continue until all layers are applied.
6. Flip tissue covered stamps over onto layered paper towel, use end of stipple brush to lift tissue from around edges of stamp to remove from stamp. Let dry overnight.
7. Trim (or carefully tear as I did) around casted image.

8. To make the casted image even more visible, use direct to paper technique with ink pad to highlight the raised areas.

This week’s theme for our Creative Journal Newsletter is Leap Year - so I’ve whipped up this simple greeting card using a frog stamp for the paper casted embellishment. The card features another fun element - an Action Wobble™ Spring - which makes the casted frog (well, maybe not LEAP, but at least bounce a bit!) wiggle to and fro. (See my Product Review) A fun way to share HOPPY BIRTHDAY wishes with someone special!
